Support that answers in minutes, at any hour

A seven-step sequence that isolates almost any IPTV fault in about five minutes, a symptom-to-cause table for the ten most common problems, and several ways to reach a person 24 hours a day — including public holidays, because that is when sport happens.

Quick answer

How do I fix an IPTV stream that is not working?

Start by asking whether the problem affects one channel or all of them. One channel means a source-side fault we can re-point for you — send us the channel name. All channels means the cause is local: restart the app, then the device, then the router; switch from 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi to 5 GHz or Ethernet; drop the quality one rung; and check the credentials character by character, since a capital I misread as a lowercase l causes most login failures. If it still fails, message support with your exact device model, your player app and whether it is one channel or all — we answer within about 5 minutes, 24/7.

Problems that look like IPTV and are not

HDMI handshake failures, a TV in game mode with extra processing, a soundbar that dropped bitstream, and a phone hotspot that paused in the background all present as “the stream died”. None of them are fixed by a new playlist. If the same channel is perfect on a phone over mobile data and broken on the television, start with cables and Wi-Fi before you assume the provider.

The twelve-step buffering article is for when you have time. This page is for the five-minute triage and a person on the end of 0524346367. We do not ask you to reinstall the app four times as a ritual. If you already completed the sequence below, skip it and message us with the three facts — device model, player, one channel or all.

Self-diagnosis

Seven steps, about five minutes

Work through these in order. Most problems are identified by step four, and the sequence is designed so that each step eliminates a whole class of causes rather than just one.

  1. 1

Is it one channel or all channels?

    30 seconds

This single question splits the problem in half. If every channel fails, the cause is your connection, your credentials or your app. If one channel fails while others play perfectly, it is a source-side issue on that specific feed — send us the exact channel name and we will re-point it, usually within the hour.

  2. 2

Is it one device or every device?

    1 minute

Open the same channel on your phone over mobile data. If it plays there but not on the television, the problem is the TV, its app or your home network — not the service. If it fails on both, the issue is your account or the stream itself.

  3. 3

Restart the app, then the device, then the router

    2 minutes

In that order, and genuinely restart the router by unplugging it for thirty seconds rather than pressing a reset. This resolves a large share of sudden problems on a service that worked yesterday, because stale DNS entries and half-open connections are extremely common causes.

  4. 4

Test a wired connection or move to 5 GHz Wi-Fi

    2 minutes

If you are on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, switch to the 5 GHz band or plug in an Ethernet cable. Buffering that disappears on Ethernet is a Wi-Fi problem, and no provider-side change will fix it. This is the most common cause of evening-only buffering.

  5. 5

Lower the stream quality by one rung

    1 minute

Drop from 4K to 1080p, or 1080p to 720p, in your player's settings. If playback becomes stable, your connection lacks headroom at the higher bitrate. That is useful information rather than a defeat — it tells you exactly where the ceiling is.

  6. 6

Check the credentials character by character

    1 minute

Login failures are overwhelmingly typing errors, and three characters cause most of them: a capital I read as a lowercase l, a zero read as a capital O, and a trailing space copied from an email. Copy and paste rather than typing, and check the server URL includes the port number.

  7. 7

    Send us the three facts

    Message us

If you are still stuck, message support with your device and its exact model, the player app you are using, and whether the fault affects one channel or all of them. Those three facts let us skip the diagnostic questions entirely and usually answer in the first reply.

Help us help you

What to include in your first message

Sending these turns a three-message exchange into one reply. The first three matter most.

  • Your device and its exact model — "Fire TV Stick 4K Max, second generation", not "a Firestick"
  • The player app and its version — TiviMate, IPTV Smarters Pro, OTT Navigator, Kodi
  • Whether the fault affects one channel, one category or everything
  • Whether it fails on a second device on mobile data
  • The exact channel name if the problem is channel-specific
  • A screenshot or a ten-second screen recording, if you can
  • The result of a speed test run at the time the problem occurs

Support questions

Troubleshooting, answered

How do I contact DrexTV support?

Four routes, all staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a 5-minute response target: message or speak with us on 0524346367, live chat via the widget on any page, or email to support@drextv.com. Direct message is fastest during a live fixture because you can send screenshots and screen recordings.

Why is my IPTV buffering?

Work out whether it affects one channel or all of them. If it is one channel, the source feed is at fault and we can re-point it — send us the channel name. If it is every channel, the cause is almost always your local network: switch from 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi to 5 GHz or Ethernet, and run a speed test at 8pm rather than at midday. Evening-only buffering is the classic signature of a congested Wi-Fi band or a contended ISP line.

Why does it say invalid credentials or login failed?

Nine times out of ten it is a typing error. A capital I misread as a lowercase l, a zero misread as a capital O, and a trailing space copied from the email account for most cases. Copy and paste the credentials rather than typing them, and check the server URL includes the port number. If it still fails, your subscription may have expired or you may have hit your plan's connection limit — message us and we will confirm the line status immediately.

Why is one channel not working when the rest are fine?

That is a source-side fault on that specific feed, not a problem with your setup — which is why everything else plays normally. Send us the exact channel name and we will re-point it to a healthy source, usually within the hour. There is nothing you can fix at your end for this one, so please do not spend an evening reinstalling apps.

Why do streams freeze only during big matches?

Peak concurrency, either on our network or on your ISP's. We dimension for roughly three times average concurrency across 14 edge locations, with session handoff that moves a degrading stream to a healthy server. If it happens to you, message us while the match is on rather than afterwards — we can route your session manually in real time, and we cannot do anything useful about it the next day.

Why is there no programme guide?

You are almost certainly connected with an M3U playlist, which carries channel names and stream URLs but no guide data. Reconnect using the Xtream Codes credentials instead — the API delivers the channel list, the 7-day guide and the on-demand library as structured data. We send both sets of credentials, so you already have what you need.

What information should I send when reporting a problem?

Your device and its exact model, the player app and version, and whether the fault affects one channel or all of them. Those three facts eliminate most of the diagnostic tree and typically let us answer in the first reply. A screenshot or a short screen recording helps further, as does a speed test taken at the moment the problem occurs.

Do you offer support for setting up a new device?

Yes, at no charge and for any supported device. Our agents work from the same 7 device guides published on this site, so what you are told matches what you can read. If you would rather we walk you through it live, message 0524346367 and say so — most setups take about 5 minutes with a person on the other end.

Is support available on weekends and holidays?

Yes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including public holidays. This is deliberate rather than a boast: the fixtures that generate the most support contacts are precisely the ones on weekends and holidays, so business-hours support would be useless.

How do I request a refund?

Email support@drextv.com within 7 days of purchase, from the address you bought with, and say what went wrong. We do not require you to justify the decision. Refunds are processed to the original payment method, typically within 3 to 5 working days. Our refund policy sets out the full terms.
