How to set up IPTV on MAG set-top boxes and Enigma2 receivers
MAG boxes work completely differently from every other device on this list, and that difference confuses a lot of people. A MAG box is not an Android device and it does not install apps. It runs Infomir's Stalker middleware, which authenticates by MAC address against a portal URL. That means two things: setup is genuinely simpler once you understand it, and DrexTV must register your specific box before anything will work. Enigma2 receivers follow a similar principle with a slightly different route.

Quick answer
How do I set up IPTV on MAG & Enigma2?
MAG boxes need no app. Register your box's MAC address with DrexTV, then on the box go to Settings, System Settings, Servers, Portals, and enter the portal URL from your activation email into the Portal 1 URL field. Save and reboot, and the channel list loads automatically through the built-in Stalker middleware.

5 steps
Setting up DrexTV on MAG & Enigma2
Follow these in order. Menu paths are given exactly as they appear on the device, and the whole sequence takes about 5 minutes.
Step 1: Find your box's MAC address
Turn the box over. The MAC address is printed on a sticker, formatted as six pairs of characters separated by colons. On genuine Infomir hardware it starts with 00:1A:79.
If the sticker is missing or unreadable, power the box on and go to Settings, System Information — the MAC is listed there. Record it exactly, including the colons.
Step 2: Register the MAC address with DrexTV
MAG boxes authenticate by MAC address rather than by username and password, so we have to whitelist your box before it can connect. Include the MAC address when you order, or send it to us afterwards by email or by messaging 0524346367.
We register it and reply with your portal URL, normally within a few minutes. This is the step people skip, and it is why a correctly typed portal URL can still show no channels.
Step 3: Open the portal settings on the box
Press the Menu or Setup button on the MAG remote to reach the main settings screen. Navigate to Settings, then System Settings, then Servers, then Portals.
You will see Portal 1 Name and Portal 1 URL, and usually a Portal 2 pair as well. Portal 2 is worth using as a backup if we supply a secondary URL.
Step 4: Enter the portal name and URL
In Portal 1 Name, type DrexTV — this is just a label and can be anything.
In Portal 1 URL, enter the portal address from your activation email. It looks like this:
http://portal.drextv.com:8080/c/Type it exactly, including the trailing slash. The MAG on-screen keyboard sometimes inserts a leading space, which is the single most common cause of a failed portal connection — check the start of the field before saving. Press OK or Save.
Step 5: Reboot and load the channel list
Exit settings and restart the box. Use the power option in the menu, or simply unplug it for ten seconds — a full power cycle is more reliable than a soft restart on Stalker firmware.
On boot the box contacts the portal, authenticates using its MAC address, and downloads the channel list and guide. The first load takes 30 to 90 seconds. After that the box goes straight to live TV whenever you power it on, which is the main appeal of a MAG: it behaves like a traditional set-top box rather than an app.
Worth knowing
MAG & Enigma2 tips that make a real difference
These are the things we tell subscribers after setup, and they account for most of the gap between a service that feels adequate and one that feels premium.
Always use Ethernet on a MAG box
Only the W-series MAG models have Wi-Fi at all, and even those perform noticeably worse than a cable. MAG boxes have no large playback buffer, so they are less tolerant of network jitter than an Android player. A wired connection is close to mandatory for 4K on this hardware.
Keep the firmware current, carefully
Infomir releases firmware updates that improve codec support, and the 4K models in particular benefit. Update from Infomir's official image for your exact model number only — a mismatched image can brick the box.
Set Portal 2 as a failover
If we supply a secondary portal URL, put it in Portal 2. If the primary is unreachable the box falls back automatically, which turns a total outage into a brief pause.
Ask for a parallel M3U for your phone
A MAG portal is tied to one box, so it cannot be used on a phone or laptop. We can issue a parallel M3U or Xtream Codes line on the same account so you can also watch on mobile — just ask support.

If something goes wrong
The five most common MAG & Enigma2 problems
Ordered by how often we actually see them, with the fix rather than a generic suggestion to restart.
| Problem | How to fix it |
|---|---|
| Portal not found, or a blank screen after reboot | Check the URL character by character, especially the first character — a leading space inserted by the on-screen keyboard is the usual culprit. Confirm the trailing slash is present and the port number is correct. |
| Portal loads but says authorisation failed | Your MAC address is not registered, or was registered with a typo. Send us the MAC exactly as it appears in Settings, System Information and we will verify the whitelist entry. |
| Channels load but stutter constantly | Almost always the network. Move to a wired connection if you are on a W-series model, and check that the box has a DHCP-assigned address with working DNS under Settings, Network. MAG boxes handle DNS failures poorly. |
| 4K channels will not play on a MAG 322 or 254 | Those models decode up to 1080p only; the hardware cannot handle HEVC 4K. Select the 1080p version of the channel, or move to a MAG 420, 424, 522 or 524 for 4K. |
| Box was working, then stopped after a power cut | Stalker firmware occasionally loses its portal setting after an abrupt power loss. Re-enter the portal URL in System Settings, Servers, Portals and reboot. Consider a small surge protector or UPS if your supply is unreliable. |
